Easily one of the best adidas NMD releases of 2017, NEIGHBORHOOD and Invincible teamed up for this clean edition of the silhouette in a clean black and white colorway with some added flair on the heels. Released to coincide with Invincible’s 10-year anniversary, the Taiwanese sneaker shop teamed up with their friends at the legendary streetwear label NEIGHBORHOOD to craft the NMD R1 in a tonal black mesh and neoprene upper. Suede heel tabs boldly embroidered with Japanese souvenir jacket inspired graphics adorn the back of each shoe, while co-branding on the tongues, front midsole bumpers, and insoles complete the epic team-up. Of course, the Invincible x NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas NMD R1 sold out immediately from both the initial release at Invincible and then the global release at adidas Consortium retailers, leaving many NMD fiends empty handed.
