<p>MFM Ridge Seal is a 35 mil self-adhering, waterproofing membrane composed of a layer of modified, asphalt adhesive with a durable, gray polymer surface that provides a watertight barrier for underneath the first layer of concrete, clay, and synthetic hip and ridge tiles. The gray polymer is also extremely flexible, easy to apply to irregular surfaces, and resistant to punctures and ultraviolet exposure for up to 180 days. This membrane must be covered within 180 days of application. Ridge seal will seal around nails for extra protection against weather and insects. It is recommended that this membrane is applied in temperatures higher than 50 degrees Fahrenheit and onto clean, smooth, and dry surfaces. Ridge seal is not compatible with an EPDM rubber surface. When applying the MFM ridge seal, make sure to remove the release liner. For the best adhesion, ridge seal can be applied by rolling the entire surface with a hand roller while focusing attention, particularly on seams and edges.
